Son of the Beach

Paul Hoggard, a renowned sand artist from England, has been sculpting with sand since 1991. In the sand sculpting community, he is affectionately known as a true “Son of the Beach.” His passion for the craft began on Baga Beach in India, where he created his first sand sculpture—an experience that sparked a lifelong artistic journey.

For Paul, sand sculpting is more than a profession; it’s a way of life. His art has taken him across the globe, allowing him to connect with people from all walks of life. Over the years, he has created monumental sand artworks for festivals, events, and public exhibitions worldwide.

A career highlight came in 2000 when Paul was invited to sculpt and personally met Her Majesty the Queen of England at the Royal Cornwall Show. His work has since been featured by numerous international television networks, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the art form.

Paul’s striking appearance and charismatic presence have also led him into the worlds of modeling and acting. Represented by the unique talent agency www.ugly.org, he has appeared in international commercials, TV documentaries, children's programming, and live broadcasts.

Currently, Paul is working on a major new project titled Life’s a Beach—a celebration of creativity, travel, and the joy of turning sand into art.
