During the 2023 festival, beach wheelchairs will be available for free rental at the advance purchase tickets check in kiosk (please see map below).

For Wayfinding Map, click here

Beach wheelchairs are first come, first served as they are limited. Renting a free beach wheelchair will require signing a release form and leaving a license at the kiosk. Beach wheelchairs must stay within the event area and are to be returned by no later than 5 PM.

Please note: the event will not have a walking mat inside any part of the festival permitted areas. In order to view the sculptures up close, attendees will need to be able to traverse through the fine sand on Siesta Beach or utilize a beach wheelchair.

ADA Viewing:  At our check in kiosk, attendees will be able to view a daily photo slide show of the sculptures being created and completed as they progress day to day. The cost is $5.00.

Beach wheelchairs available at no cost on a first come first serve basis.

Transportation

The free Siesta Key Breeze Trolley runs daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm to and from Siesta Key Village and Turtle Beach.

New transportation on and off Siesta Key is now available via Sarasota County’s OnDemand Service.

Customers can request a ride via a mobile app, which is available in app stores for iPhone and Android devices, online at scgov.net/OnDemand, or by calling 941-300-1553. OnDemand uses accessible minivans and operates similarly to today’s popular ridesharing services like Uber and Lift. The OnDemand vehicle will pick up customers and take them to their destinations within the same zone.
